Kaya at Asia Highlights helped make our honeymoon in Thailand the perfect trip. It was truly the best balance between structured and unstructured time abroad. They cater their services to exactly what you're looking for. Also, their responsiveness is uncanny. Kaya at Asia Highlights in particular deserves special mention. Excellent guide in Siem Reap
Our recent time spent in Siem Reap was made even more memorable by our expert guide, Som Piseth. Som was knowledgeable, attentive, flexible and super helpful - we learnt so much about Siem Reap and Cambodia in our 3 days with him. His English was excellent and his knowledge of, and pride in, his country was outstanding. We would highly recommend Som for anyone wanting an excellent guide in Siem Reap! More

Itinerary in Detail
After you arrive in Bangkok, the charming capital city of Thailand, your guide and driver will greet you at the airport and drive you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to spend as you please.
Visit the magnificent Wat Pho, where the sacred reclining Buddha is worshiped. A holy ceremony is held there every day. As the morning sunlight shines on the orange robes of the Buddhist monks, they sit solemnly in rows and start their daily chanting in the hall.
After visiting the imposing Grand Palace, a short long-tail boat ride will take you to Wat Arun, which towers grandly on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River.
Conclude your day by wandering around the bustling Chinatown.
Venture into the interesting Maeklong Railway Market like the locals and see how the stallholders conduct their business flexibly along the train track. It's hard to believe that trains pass through this busy market until you witness the stallholders pull back and put back out their stalls upon a train's arrival and departure.
Move to the nearby Damnoen Saduak Floating Market where the exciting sight of numerous boats laden with various goods, such as fruit, snacks, and other specialties, will grab your attention.
Savor your lunch before being transferred back to your hotel, then make your way to the north part of the country - Chiang Mai.
Spend some time at a vibrant food and flower market and take the opportunity to learn how the locals pick fresh fruits and beautiful flowers each day.
Continue to Wat Suan Dok, the final resting place for the ashes of former kings of Chiang Mai and the royal family.
Arrive at the famous mountain, Doi Suthep, which is the natural watchtower of Chiang Mai. You will be delighted by the spectacular mountain and forest views. Stop at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of Northern Thailand's most sacred temples.
Enjoy the superb panoramic view over Chiang Mai and the surrounding scenery.
Return to Chiang Mai for a rickshaw ride through the busy streets and quiet alleys, then go back to your hotel after this joyful day.
You will spend your day with some lovely elephants at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, which is a 1?-hour drive away from Chiang Mai and is located near an idyllic Karen village.
Your knowledgeable guide will tell you about the sanctuary's history and how it helps to protect the elephants from being mistreated. Instead of being ridden, exploited, and abused, the elephants there enjoy their freedom and roam around the jungle and forest. You can have the chance to feed, bathe, and walk alongside these amazing creatures.
A simple but delicious lunch will be served at a platform near the sanctuary.
You can clean the mud from your body by jumping into some cool and refreshing water. Meander along scenic trails back to a Karen village before heading back to your hotel in Chiang Mai.
Your joyful Bangkok and Chiang Mai tour has come to an end. Your guide and driver will see you off at the airport.
Thanks for traveling with Global Highlights and we hope to help you again soon.
