Mandalay—Sunny and Hot
It's hot during the day, with an average daytime temperature of 34°C (93°F). However, it drops to 22°C (72°F) at night. Rainfall is negligible and there are 11 hours of sunshine per day.
Pay a visit to Mandalay Palace, the residence of Myanmar's last dynasty. It's surrounded by a beautiful moat with clear and still water. Just standing by the moat you can feel the previous glory — it is silent but mysterious.
There is also a tower and you can climb to the top for a view over the whole palace. The whole architecture appears in front of you, including its extensive grounds, ancient gardens, playgrounds, and swimming pools. You will be shocked by the wisdom of the ancient people.
Clothing: Take vests, T-shirts, a sunhat, sunscreen, pants, a jacket, and long-sleeved shirts.
Bagan — Pleasant
November is undoubtedly a great time to visit Bagan, with pleasant temperatures and nice weather. It's warm during the day and cool at night, with average daytime and nighttime temperatures of33°C (91°F) and 23°C (73°F). Bagan gets busy as the number of tourists planning to visit Bagan increases dramatically.
It's highly recommended that you participate in the Shwezigon Pagoda Festival, one of the highlights of the season in Bagan.

It marks the end of the rainy season and there are lots of activities during the festival, including food stalls, magic shows, puppet shows, and theatrical shows. It is crowded and fun!
You can pay a visit to the town of Pakokku, which is 25 kilometers north of Bagan. It's an important Buddhist center with over 80 monasteries. Apart from these famous archaeological monasteries, Pakokku also acts as a trading and shipping center for the locals.
Clothing:Take a sunhat to provide you with shade from the sun. A vest and shorts are sufficient for the daytime and an extra thin coat is necessary at night. Use sunscreen when going outdoors.
Inle Lake — Cool Days and Chilly Nights
Rainfall drops dramatically to 2.6 inches and there is plenty of sunshine for your visit. It's cool during the day and a bit chilly at night, as average daytime and nighttime temperatures are 28°C (82°F) and 13°C (55°F).
The 5-day mobile bazaar is a picturesque sight at Inle Lake. The market, formed with small wooden boats, rotates each day between five different villages.

It's very popular and famous. Locals converge to sell their wares, and you can find almost everything at the market, from handicrafts to Buddha statues.

Festivals in November
The Dummy Elephant Dance Festival: This is convened in Kyaukse, about 30 miles south of Mandalay. It is a 2-day dance competition with a huge elephant figure that is constructed from bamboo, cloth, paper, and other decorations.
The Full Moon Day of Thadingyut (or the Light Festival): It's celebrated nationwide and lasts for 1 day.
Myanmar Festivals in November
It marks the end of the 3-month Lent season and celebrates the descent of Buddha from heaven after he preached the Abhidhamma (the most difficult of the Buddhist teachings) to his mother who had been reborn in heaven.
During the Thadingyut Festival, the pagodas are decorated with candles and oil lamps. Houses, offices, shops, and streets are decorated with electric lights.
The Shwezigon Pagoda Festival: This is convened in Bagan and lasts for 8 days. It marks the end of the monsoon season. During the festival, a traditional Buddhist ceremony takes place inside the pagoda and a street fair is held outside.
The Hot-Air Balloon Festival: It is a week-long festival, convened in Taungyi, Shan State, near Inle Lake. It is celebrated by releasing hot-air balloons in the sky. Daytime balloons are in the form of pagodas and animals, such as elephants, ducks, or dragons, while nighttime is for beautiful fireworks.
